The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).

Job Description:

The Architecture, Risk and Finance Technology (ACRFT) organization is responsible for building and supporting the technology systems and platform that supports the CCB Risk and Finance Technology. A technology delivery manager / scrum master in this group leads a cross organizational team focused on delivery of high visibility initiatives, and will be responsible for establishing and executing the delivery management practices necessary for success. This role is not about implementing a pure conceptual Agile methodology for Agile methodology’s sake. This role is about implementing practical delivery management that complements, enables and leverages Agile scrum methodology while simultaneously supporting the transparency and control required across project / program stakeholders.


In the Technology Program Scrum of Scrum - Project Execution role, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the delivery of the SAS Control Uplift Program. Responsibilities include:

  • Work with Scrum Teams to drive over a dozen different constituent work streams to success

  • Escalate risks and issues for resolution early to minimize impact to the program

  • Support the generation of Monthly Business Review report for the CTO

  • Coordinate with Scrum Teams to maintain the Release Calendar

  • Work with Governance team to maintain appropriate TCO Metrics

  • Coordinate the information gathering, vetting, and reporting of weekly Program Status reports

  • Gather metrics on recurring basis to maintain appropriate team KPI's

  • Coordinate with team leads to report at internal Delivery Governance Council and other Governance forums

  • Work with various LOB Steering/Working Groups to share Program information and collaborate as needed

The Technology Program Scrum of Scrums role will:

  • Be accountable for execution & tracking of program Agile deliverables for Technology across Lines of Business, Functional Areas and cross-functional teams

  • Prepare & review program dashboard, performance metrics, scorecards including weekly & monthly program status updates, Executive Sponsor Updates, key business metrics, Issues & Risks and periodic program updates & communication decks

  • Manage and monitor backlog analysis and management, work stream planning and delivery of project plans & end-to-end timelines

  • Interact with business product owners in understanding and helping to groom requirements backlog

Responsibilities for this role will also include:

  • Going beyond the mechanics of documenting a plan and tracking to it; must also manage deviations from plan self-sufficiently, proposing and managing resolutions

  • Establishing credibility and strong partnership with the Agile team, work stream leads, business partners, and product owners

  • Thinking critically to anticipate potential problems and preventing, minimizing, diagnosing and remedying delivery risks and issues

  • Maintaining internal databases and systems to collect, track, and report program progress

  • Preparing ad hoc internal reports on program activity, timeline and plans for Senior level and Executive Management Team

  • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting & metrics

  • Completing status dashboard reports and scorecard updates

  • Assisting with communications and presentation materials

  • Designing and documenting execution processes where required

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience

  • Proven track record of successfully executing delivery management fundamentals for technology implementation efforts (meeting / JAD facilitation, workplans, status reports, RAID logs, metrics reporting, budget reporting, etc.)

  • Ability to go beyond the mechanics of program management; must be able to do more than document a plan and track to it, must also be able to manage deviation from plan, propose resolutions, and lead to resolution

  • Analytical thinker with strong analysis skills, strong problem solving and critical thinking skills enabling candidate to anticipate problems and connect dots on their own

  • Reasonable working knowledge of technology architectures and risk management business functions to the extent necessary to establish credibility with technology and business stakeholders

  • Familiarity with practical implementations of Agile scrum methodology, particularly as it relates to establishing project planning and tracking protocols in practice with that methodology
